THE PERSON

First introduced to the arts as a young boy, by his mother handing Tony and his siblings Mario, Julie and Mark, a paint brush and had them paint the walls of their home. Tony didn’t stop there, teaching himself drawing, painting and graffiti.

Born and raised in Tamworth by his beautiful Sicilian Father and Australian Mother, Tony has always prided himself on his humble beginnings. He is a highly regarded and successful sports person with a life long list of accolades. As a young man he was the Tamworth High alumni, State Champion in both Rugby League and Water Polo, plus Selected for Australian School Boys Water Polo Team in 1979. After captaining the team the following year, he would have had the opportunity to represent Australia in Water Polo at the Olympics, had he moved to the city. He shunned the din and remained home, captaining and coaching the Australian Country Team for ten years.

A plasterer by trade (known on building sites as Chuse), Tony has owned and operated a very successful plastering business, for the past 30 years.

Tony’s greatest accomplishments are his two sons Alex and Colby.

Despite his rich and varied life and multi-faceted success, for Tony, its the simple things that count -  being a loving dad, with a beautiful family.
